How to Further Develop Village- level Democracy

我国村级民主建设经过近三十年的探索和实践,走出一条以"村民自治"制度为核心的道路,促进了村级民主建设的快速发展。但由于受到历史和现实条件的影响,村级民主建设在民主选举、民主决策等方面仍然存在一些问题,为此,我们要通过完善有关法制、积极进行体制创新、健全村级民主监督体系等加快和推进村级民主建设。

Village-level democracy constitutes the basis for and an organic component of primary-level democracy in rural areas. It includes democratic election, democratic decision-making, democratic management and democratic supervision. The article, in keeping with the above-mentioned four aspects, sorts out problems with the development of village-level democracy and presents some suggestions which would help solve the problems.
