十九世纪七八十年代湖北煤铁事业夭折的原因

An Analysis on Abortion Reasons for the Coal and Iron Affair of Hubei in 1870s and 1880s

国内一些学者对于十九世纪七八十年代湖北煤铁事业夭折的主客观原因,主要从微观层面做过较为全面的分析。笔者认为,该事业夭折的深层原因来自于中国传统政治。清政府的漠视、李鸿章和盛宣怀捞取政治资本的动机,决定了该事业必然夭折的命运。

Some scholars at home have made a comprehensive analysis from microcosmic platform about abortion reasons （including subjective and objective reasons） for the coal and iron affair of Hubei in 1870s and 1880s. The author thinks that the deep reasons of abortion came from traditional Chinese political system. It was the indifference of Qing government and motive of Li Hongzhang and Sheng Xuanhuai＇s fishing for political capital that determined the inevitable failure of the coal and iron affair of Hubei.
