从拜舅姑、婚外私生活、生活细节及陪葬皇陵四个方面可以看出,唐代公主的家庭地位随着唐王朝的政治经济形势以及公主政策的变化而不断变化,呈现出前高后低的特点。造成这种状况的原因很复杂,其外在原因包括经济、政治、思想文化、异族习俗等诸多方面的内容,其内在原因当和女权意识的崛起与衰落有关。

The family position of the princess in Tang Dynasty was closely related to the constant changes of political and economica situations as well as the princess policy,which can be concluded from four aspects, that is, the obeisance done to father-in-law and mother-in-law, the private life outside marriage,the living details and the royal necropolis＇ location,and represented a feature of high level in the earlier period and low level in the later stage. The reasons for this situation were quite complex. The exterior reasons included economy,policy, thoughts and culture, customs of different races, and so on. Meanwhile, the rising and wane of the consciousness of women＇s rights are the intrinsic reason.
