Progress on Increased Speed Test for Passenger and Freight Trains on the Existing Main Lines in China

阐述了我国既有干线提速的紧迫性;提出要从运量和线路的实际出发,制定不同的速度目标值和改造方案,在提高旅客列车速度的同时要相应提高货物列车速度;介绍了沪宁、京秦、沈山、郑武线的提速试验工作,最后提出初步结论和建议。

It describes the urgency to raise train speed on the existing main lines in China. It suggests that the target value for different speeds and the upgrading plan should be worked out on the basis of the volume and the current situation of the tracks. It also mentions the freight train speed should be raised while the passenger train speed is being raised. It introduces the raised speed test on the Shanghai- Nanjing, Beijing - Qinhuangdao, Shenyang - Shanhaiguan and Zhengzhou- Wuhan lines. Finally, it provides the preliminary conclusion and suggestions.
