摘要 H.264/AVC视频编码标准采用多模式编码技术,更准确的块匹配带来了编码效率的提高,同时也使计算复杂度急剧增加,这一问题也成了影响H.264/AVC实时应用的因素之一。因此为了降低计算复杂度,提出了一种基于自适应门限的视频编码模式快速选择算法,首先进行场景切换的检测,然后基于最优匹配的算法来进行模式的快速选择,略过不可能进一步降低率失真代价的模式,以降低编码过程的计算复杂度,从而提高编码速度。实验结果表明,本算法与全模式搜索算法相比,在图像质量和码率有少量变化的前提下,编码速度显著提高。 H.264/AVC video coding standard employs multiple coding-modes and significantly improves coding efficiency. As a result, the complexity and computation load of video coding increase drastically, which makes it very difficult for real-time applications. To reduce the computation burden, a fast video coding mode selection algorithm based on adaptive thresholds was proposed. Scene changes was detected first, and then many coding modes could be skipped through checking the best matching block of the current block by using adaptive threshold before transform and quantization in the mode decision process. Experimental results show that the coding speeds up greatly with the proposed algorithm without considerable performance degradation and bit-rate increase compared with full-mode decision algorithm.
