The Investigation of Language Use and Language Attitude of Wutun People

吾屯是青海同仁县土族聚居地之一,吾屯话是汉语在当地藏语强烈影响下形成的混合语。村内主要通行吾屯话、藏语和当地汉语。土族家庭及族内主要使用吾屯话,藏族家庭及族内主要使用藏语。家庭三代使用双语的比例呈上升趋势。不同民族对藏语文、汉语文的认同程度最高,行为倾向也最积极;对吾屯话的认同程度不高,行为倾向也比较消极。

Wutun, a place inhabited by Tu people in Tongren County in Qinghai Province. Wutun language is a mixture of Mandarin and Tibetan languages. Tu people prefer to speak Wutun language among their family members and Tibetan people prefer to speak Tibetan language at home, while their descendants speak the two languages. The author of the present article conducted a survey, finding that both Tu and Tibetan people show positive attitude towards Tibetan and Mandarin languages and prefer to use the two languages in their daily life and demonstrate a rather negative attitude towards Wutun language.
