王维有其卓绝的歌诗地位。王维诗歌的歌诗化程度高,这也是王维诗歌有别于初盛唐其他诗人诗歌的一个重要特征。王维不仅仅歌诗创作的起步早,数量多,而且其歌诗艺术的形式全,质量高。王维诗歌"歌诗化"的基本要素和特征,具有"情绪的大众化"、"题材的民俗化"和"语言的简约化"三个特点。而其"歌诗化"的特殊自觉,则建筑在"特殊的歌诗风气"、"特殊的歌诗效应"、"特殊的歌诗条件"之上。
