文章试图从探讨美国研究的定义开始,对近年来在学术界出现的"美国研究"和"美国学"两个名称混用的例子进行比较,以期探求这两者之间的真正差异,并简要概括当前在美国研究领域出现的新的研究转向和发展趋势。

Starting from the definition of ＂American Studies＂, this paper intends to present and analyze the examples of the mixed use of the two Chinese translations of the same term with an aim to explore the differences between these two Chinese, terms and sum up the new orientations and developments in American Studies at Present in China.
