The paper analyses the Chinese cartoon＇ s growing process which started from the end of Qing dynasty and developed quickly during the Revolution of 1911 as well as the new - democratic cultural revolution, shows its pioneer action as an independent art mode in Chinese modem revolution especially the region of ideology and culture. The Chinese cartoon came into being and developed together with Chinese revolution closely and brought out the best in each other, it＇s a typical artistic form who represented the advanced ideology and culture of the old era.
