摘要
通过分析π介子与μ子穿过介质时的特性,选择了7个参数作为判别变量。利用改进后的二次判别函数,获得了在保持约79%的μ子时,可将π介子抑制至1.6×10-3量级。这一结果已达目前PHENIX探测器设计条件下π-μ粒子鉴别的极限。
By analyzing the behavior of pions and muons travelling through mediums, seven discriminant parameters are chosen. By using improved quadratic discriminant function, the pions are supressed to 1 6×10 -3 while about 79% muons remain. This result has reached the pion muon discriminant limit for the present design of the PHENIX muon detector.
