Changes From Small Fire Stone to Lucrative Business

从古至今，阜新人的生活一直沐浴着玛瑙的宝石光芒。会唱歌的玛瑙石，以它特有的流光溢彩演绎着优美的旋律，传诵着一个个古老动听的故事。

In the late Eastern Han Dynasty （25-220）, an old man presented Cao Cao with a pair of drinking cups carved with his own hands in gratitude for his unifying of north China. The two cups were made of a kind of stone called ＂fire stone＂, which was produced from Huoshiling Mountain in Liaoxi County, namely present-day Fuxin and surrounding areas. Looking at the sparkling and crystalclear cups red like rosy clouds or horse brain, Cao Pi, son of Cao Cao, wrote the ＂Ma Nao Le Fu＂, preface that read, ＂Manao, one category of the jade, with interlocked grains, is like horse brain in grain.＂ Because it should be a one category of the jade, the Chinese characters ＂Manao＂ is written as the agate which also pronounces Manao （literally meaning horse brain） in Chinese.＂
