Ontology Based Framework for E-learning Services Publication and Discovery

摘要 目前E-learning服务急剧增多,网络学习者需要一种有效的方法从大量服务中找到适合自己的服务。在研究本体技术的基础上,构造学科本体支持对特定学科词汇的语义描述;提出一种OWL-S/UDDI映射方案,实现E-learning服务的描述从表示层到实现层的映射。在此基础上,提出了一种基于学科本体的E-learning服务发布与发现框架,该框架包括用户层、表示层、中间件层和数据存储层;针对传统的基于关键字的服务匹配缺乏语义支持的不足,该框架将学科本体引入E-learning服务发布与发现过程中,增强了E-learning服务发现能力,并在一定程度上提高了服务查找的效率和准确率。 E-learning services are dramatically emerging at present, and learners on Internet need effective methods to search for services which truly meet their needs. Discipline Ontology is built, which focuses some specific discipline, and describes the concepts and the semantic relations among the concepts existing in the discipline. OWL-S description is taken to support the de- scription of E-learning services on representation layer, and UDDI description is taken to support the description of E-learning services on storage layer, OWL-S/UDDI mapping mechanism is presented. On the basis of discipline ontology and OWL-S/UD- DI mapping mechanism, a framework for E-learning services publication and discovery is presented, which includes interface layer, representation layer, middle-ware layer and storage layer. This framework aims at complementing traditional keyword- based methods; the efficiency and accuracy are improved by the aid of Discipline Ontology in the process of E-learning services publication and discovery.
