林业科技翻译刍议

On the Translation of Forestry Documents

随着国际交流的日益频繁,林业科技翻译中的问题也日显突出。把功能目的翻译理论应用于林业科技翻译中,有利于译者摆脱等值翻译或对等翻译论的束缚,实现准确传达信息的目的,提高林业科技翻译的质量。

This paper deals with problems in the translation of forestry documents. The author argues that the translations of forestry documents can be significantly improved by applying Functionalist Skopos Theory as it focuses on the purpose of the translation, by which the translator plays a vital active role in the translation process without being unnecessarily confined in the doctrines of equivalence translation theory.
