The Translation of CRH Brochure and the Training of Quality Translators

近年来,翻译质量低劣的现象尽人皆知,即便连标志着我国铁路科技最高水平的"和谐号"动车上服务手册的英文翻译,也错误频出。本文通过分析其中典型错译、误译的例子,说明导致目前翻译作品普遍存在问题的根源,并提出提高译者整体素质,培养符合时代要求的高素质翻译人才的根本途径。

In recent years, mistranslations of various kinds can be seen almost everywhere and in every held, with no exception to the translating of brochure of CRH, the most advanced express train group across the country. By analyzing the mistranslations in the brochure of CRH, this article attempts to identify the causes of the common problems occurring in translation and the ways to upgrade qualified translators with stronger translation abilities and higher sense of morality.
