The CPC Local Organizations in Hubei Province During the First Turn of the New Democratic Revolution

1927年,中国共产党对中国革命问题的认识及党领导的革命斗争都经历了一次历史性的重要转折。在这一转折中,中共湖北地方组织作用突出,贡献重大,在中国共产党探索中国革命正确道路的进程中占有重要历史地位。其重大贡献主要表现在:全力配合中共中央迁汉,积极参与全局性工作;坚持反蒋斗争,支援平叛斗争;努力推进工农运动,维护工农群众利益;积极开展武装斗争,率先提出"上山"思想;依靠农民发动秋收起义,依托农村创建根据地。

The understanding of the Chinese revolution by the CPC and the revolutionary struggle led by the Party both took an important historical turn in 1927. In the course of this turn the CPC local organizations in Hubei played a remarkable role and made great contributions, enjoying an important place in the process of probing for a correct road of the Chinese revolution by the CPC. The pioneering contributions of the CPC local organizations in Hubei were as follows： sparing no effort to cooperate with the CPC Central Committee in the latter＇ s moving to Hankou and actively taking part in the work of overall significance; persevering in the anti-Chiang struggle and supporting the rebellion-suppressing struggle ; promoting the worker-peasant movement in order to defend the interests of the masses of workers and peasants ; actively waging the armed struggle and taking the lead to put forward the idea of going to the mountainous areas; mobilizing the peasants to stage the Autumn Harvest Uprising and building up the rural revolutionary basis.
