科学合理地实施集水农业是甘肃农业可持续发展的根本途径

CATCHMENT FARMING:AN ESSENTIAL WAY TO SUSTAINED DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURE IN GANSU PRORINCE

甘肃是一个以农业为主的干旱半干旱省份，水资源贫乏，使历史上的粮食单产和经济指标一直处于全国末位。靠天吃饭一直困扰和制约着甘肃省农业的经济发展，为此，探索发展具有地方特色的旱地农业，是世纪之交刻不容缓的战略抉择，而集水农业的理论与实践，则成为旱地农业又一次新的科技革命，为旱地农业的持续发展和旱农区的脱贫致富开拓了新的发展道路。文章简析了甘肃省目前的农业现状和集水农业的发展前景，并就科学合理的实施方面提出几点建议。

Gansu in an agricultural province and is situated in the arid and semi arid areas.Owing to Poor Water resources,the per unit area grain yield and economic index of the province ranks the last in the country.For a long time,the opinion that people rely upon the weather for their food has been hindering the economic growth of the province.So,in the time between the two centuries,developing the technology of dry land farming is of strategical imporlance.Catchment farming has become a new revolution in dry land farming and it will promote the sustained development of agriculture and open up a path for 'getting rid of poverty and becoming better off' in the arid areas.This paper briefly analyses the agricultural conditions and the prospects for catchment farming in our province and puts forward some suggestions about carrging out catchment farming project scientificaly and reasonably
