A new type of rock and ore of sedimentary micritic muscovite has been discovered for the first time in China. The sedimentary muscovite ore is of micritic texture and slaty structure with relatively simple ore components. The muscovite deposit is of large reserves and the ore is easy to mine, pick and process. The low cost of mining and wide application of the ore are the advantages of the micritic muscovite. This article recommended the feasibility and method of micritie muscovite that regards as environmental mineral material by way of organic intercalation. So micritic muscovite has potential development prospects.
