当代中国的发展是马克思主义中国化理论成果的科学实践。在当代中国,只有中国特色社会主义理论,而没有别的理论能够解决社会主义的前途和命运问题。作为社会主义中国,它的发展取向是和平的,走的是和平崛起、和平发展的道路。其中,构建社会主义和谐社会是中国和平发展不可或缺的国内基础,而能否肩负起和谐与发展这两大历史使命并实现国家民族崛起,是对我党和我国政府的极大考验。因此,党的执政能力建设,中国特色社会主义制度的稳固性,与中国和平崛起、和平发展道路的可实现性之间存在内在逻辑的连动性。这一点是社会主义中国区别于世界历史进程中西方资本主义强权崛起与弱肉强食发展范式的最显著特点,它代表了人类追求文明进步的新路径。

Contemporary China＇s development is the scientific pratice of the outcome of China＇s theoretical development of Maxism. Today no other theory but the theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics can decide the future and the destiny of socialism. China as a socialist state, takes peace as its orientation of development, as its rise and as its road of development. Among them, building a harmonious socialist society is an indispensable basis for national peaceful development. It is a great test for Chinese Communist Party and Chinese goverument to take up the historical role of constructing and developing a harmonious socialist society. As a result, the party＇s governing capacity, the socialist system with Chinese charateristics, stability, and China＇s peaceful rise, the path of peaceful development can be realized between the existence of the internal logical linking. This is the most striking feature of China＇s socialism distinguished from power law of the jungle paradigm of western capitalism, which represents the new path of the pursuit of human civilizaion.
