Chen Xiefen＇ s Independent Chapter published in the early 20th century held that ideological independence is the key to women＇ s emancipation which became an independence declaration of modem Chinese women. This book played a new era melody of women＇ s pursuit of self - emancipation, and implied a new era tendency of women＇s liberation and national- democratic revolution.
