白敦仁先生学行述略

A Brief Account of Mr.Bai Dunren's Academic Achievements

白敦仁先生学术成果丰茂,诗词创作高妙,为当代蜀学名家。白先生教学极善讲授,辨析入微,音辞清朗,名播遐迩。先生寝馈杜集,深契诗心,为人、治学亦深受杜甫影响,因而他倾平生时间、精力、学力所完成的三部大著——《陈与义集校笺》、《巢经巢诗钞笺注》、《强村语业笺注》都与杜诗有密切的关联。在宋诗研究方面,白敦仁先生也达到很高的造诣,体现了其广博精微的特点。

Mr. Bai Dunren, a famous contemporary expert in Shu Studies, has made great academic achievements in poems and lyrics. Mr. Bai gives excellent lectures, distinguishing subtle differences with clear and loud voice. He has studied and annotated Du Fu＇s poems thoroughly, and his scholarly research also gets profound influence from Du Fu. He then devotes all his life time, energy, and intelligence to have fulfiUed the three magnificent works： Revision of Chen Yuyi＇s Lyrics, Annotation of Zheng Zhen＇s Classics and Poems, Annotation ofQiang Cun＇s Lyrics, all of which are closely related to Du Fu＇s poems. In addition, Mr. Bai has great attainments in the field of Song poem studies, displaying the width and depth of his broad knowledge.
