The Historical Cultural Heritage Affecting Modern Political Development in Turkey

There are four major political cultural heritages in modern Turkey: the military political heritage of the traditional authoritarianism,the Islamic political cultural heritage,Kemalist heritage and multi-party political heritage,which have all played particular roles in domestic political development and changes in modern Turkey.As a nation that once created long civilization and influenced the world history significantly,the modern Turkey should inavoidably be affected by its own historical cultural heritages.The various contradictory phenomena in modern Turkish society are exactly the outcomes of the collisions between these historical heritages and the modern social reality.
