摘要
方英文小说《后花园》着力表现个体对世界的理想化认识,展示出和谐的自然、理想的两性和完美的人格,同时揭示出消费时代的社会现实以及文明发展进程中关的沉沦,理想与现实的矛盾冲突正是当代社会复杂现状的一个隐喻。小说可能企及的精神高度与消费时代小说可能的简化、俗套在《后花园》中复杂并生。
The Back Garden, a novel by Fang Yingwen, depicts at great length the ideal recognition of individuals to the world, showing harmonious nature, two ideal sexes, and perfect personality. In this novel, the author also reveals the reality of a consumer society and the ruin of beauty in the development of civilization, and this is just the complicated metaphor. Both ideal spirit and the simple popular way of writing the author adopts are contradictorily shown in The Back Garden.
