摘要
PRDM16(PR domain-containing 16)是一种重要的转录调节因子,可通过与PPAR-γ及PPAR-γ共激活因子1α和1β结合而激活棕色脂肪相关基因的表达,如解偶联蛋白1基因(uncoupling protein 1 gene,UCP1)。通过这种方式,P RDM16促进表达有成肌调节因子基因Myf5的前体细胞分化为棕色脂肪细胞,增加了热量产生的同时减少了体内脂肪堆积。这些研究显示通过激活PRDM16来增加棕色脂肪组织在治疗肥胖及相关疾病方面具有很大潜力。
PRDMI6 (PR domain containing 16) is an important kind of transcriptional regulator, which can activate the expression of brown fat-related genes, such as UCP1 (uncoupling protein 1), by binding itself to PPAR-γ (peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor-y), PPAR-y co-activator 1α (PGC-1α) and 1β (PGC-1β). Through this way, PRDM16 stimulates brown adipocyte differentiation from precursor cells expressing the myogenic regulatory factor gene Myf5, which can increase thermogenesis and reduce fat storage. These researches indicate the potential to treat obesity and related diseases through activating PRDM16 to produce brown adipose tissue.
