Preliminary Study on the Uigur Nationality Formation and Development

文章首先肯定了现代维吾尔族的民族特性,接着分别研究该族不同历史时期的居住地域、生产方式、语言文字、宗教信仰、文化艺术和生活习惯,然后得出明确的结论:维吾尔族逐渐形成于10世纪以来的东喀喇汗王朝时期,15～16世纪的东察合台汗国时期得到了发展和壮大。

The thesis admits the nationality feature of modern Uigur in the first,and then studies the habitation region,productive mode,language and letter,faith,culture and art and living custom of the nationality in different historical periods respectively.Then draw a conclusion that the Uigur nationality came into being gradually since East Kalahan dynasty era in 10th,developed and expended during East Caqadai Khanate era in 15th to 16th century.
