It is intended to illustrate the cognitive mechanism during the understanding of the humor of text message from the perspective of conceptual blending theory, which can clearly demonstrate the dynamic process of acquiring the humorous effect, and it has proved its strong ability of explaining humorous languages. This paper analyzes the process of understanding hu- mor of text message by using concrete examples on the basis of conceptual blending theory, and at the same time emphasizes the importance of inference during the whole process.
