The postmodernist hallmark in linguistic rhetoric, themes and different genres of Stein＇s writings make her the pioneer of postmodernist literature. Moreover, the return to the literary tradition of Stein in her old age, to some extent, foretells the developing tendency of today＇s postmodernist literature. The Steinian writing style has influenced and been influencing many writers.
