JHotDraw is a Java GUI framework for technical and structured Graphics. It has been developed as a "design exercise" but is already quite powerful. On the basis of anyalyzing the JhotDraw, the article discusses some well-known design patterns in detail, and uses examples to describe its good framework, good reusability and extendabitity. Knowing the basic concepts and their applications in JHotDraw, it is helpful to decide how to customize and adapt the framework to meet the application's requirements, to reduce development time and improve the quality of software and the efficiency of development.
