摘要
2005年度诺贝尔文学奖获得者哈罗德·品特的戏剧作品,奠定了他成为一名出色的后现代戏剧作家的根基。在他的"威胁喜剧"中,无论是看起来晦涩的语言、似乎没有情节的故事,还是反映现代社会异化的主题,都体现了后现代主义的特点。荒诞和晦涩只是品特戏剧的表面特征,究其实质,应该说它深刻地反映了当代英国社会的状况,具有发人深思的思想力量和激起共鸣的巨大艺术魅力。
Harold Pinter was the Noble winner of 2005. This paper, from the viewpoint of post-modernism, makes a study on the plays as well as the theories of Harold Pinter' s works. In his Comedy of Menace, the seemingly absurd language, the story without well-structured plots, and the social alienation theme, all of them get a touch of post-modernism. Both the absurdity and the obscurity, despite the apparent characters, expose the present situations of the British society.
