The paper makes analysis on the reason of suspension clamp crack accident of Longyangxia- Dashimen overhead grounding line II, the accident was caused by the abrasion and crack of suspension clamp which induced by overhead grounding line＇ s tension and vibration made by wind. It illustrates the course of crack accident, and proposes detailed suggestions and measures from managing and technical aspect, thus provides effective basis for the safe operation of power grid.
