Electric power system load forecast is the basis of realizing safe and economic operation of electric power system, to improving safe and economic performance of power grid operation and reforming the energy quality are all depends on the accurate load forecast. The paper expounds the basic conception, working principle and main function of the load forecast software from the demand of load forecast software of Qinghai power grid, and introduces the character of the software as well as its fault treatment and maintenance. The successful application of the software in Qinghai power grid provides more favorable condition for the safe, stable and economic operation of Qinghai power grid.
