摘要
翻译速度与翻译质量是一对普遍的矛盾。在同等质量的前提下,翻译速度实际上因人而异,有快有慢。就具体的译者而言,速度越快质量就越低。因此,如欲求质量,就必得牺牲速度。每小时250-300个单词的速度要求导致了不良的翻译教学效果,还造成了浮躁的翻译作风。为了提高翻译质量,这一要求必须降低。
Translation quality and speed are always contradictory. It is assumed that the generally recognized speed of 250 -300 words per hour is harmful to translation quality, and hence should be reduced somehow.
