Constructing harmonious society of socialism is a far - reaching strategic decision, while achieving harmony between people and nature is one of its important contents. Government is the leader to construct harmonious society. Ecological responsibility is their significant one. Aiming at ecological problems in harmonious society construction, the author discusses the ecological responsibility of the government from respecting regularity of nature, emphasizing consciousness of environment protection, establishing and perfecting policies and laws, enhancing the ability of sustainable development, setting up green identification system, developing ecological economy and building green GDP accounting system.
