脉冲内喇曼散射对光脉冲放大的影响及其抑制

摘要 研究了超短光脉冲在掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)中的传输特性。数值结果表明在无喇曼散射影响下,脉冲在输入后的初始阶段能够得到有效的压缩和放大;而在喇曼散射影响时,脉冲发生延迟和超前,且超前脉冲能继续分裂成新的延迟和超前脉冲,最后形成传输方向、脉宽和振幅大致相同的延迟脉冲序列。研究还表明,引入啁啾后,喇曼散射能得到一定程度的抑制。 The transmission characteristics of the ultra-short optical pulses in EDFA are researched. The numerical results show that the pulse can get effectively compressed and magnified at the beginning phase after transmitted without the influence of intrapulse Raman scattering. However, under the influence of intrapulse Raman scattering, pulses form a delay pulse and an ahead pulse, and the ahead pulse will continue to split into a new delay pulse and a new ahead pulse, and finally form a delay pulse sequence with roughly same transmission direction, pulse width and amplitude. It is also shown that the intrapulse Raman scattering can be suppressed to some extent after inputting chirped pulse.
