As a special administrative zone of China and a micro economic body in itself, Macao＇s insurance industry has its own features. The insurance industry has achieved rapid growth along with economic development in recent years. The paper made an introduction of the general situation about insurance practitioners, insurance companies and the regulatory mechanism in Macao. In view of the existing situation of the industry, the author pointed out some issues to be reckoned with for the local industry.
