Real-time rendering of overturning waves based on Gerstner-wave model

摘要 基于Gerstner波海浪模型,同时引入Perlin噪音扰动来构建出海浪的基本造型;采用一种基于梯度的波峰搜索算法,动态搜索到波峰网格点;采用超前预测的波峰生成算法生成一个卷曲的波峰曲面,将之替换原始的波峰曲面,得到不同情况下的大规模实时卷浪效果. Based on Gerstner-wave model and Perlin noise assumption, the basic shape of ocean waves was constructed. To get the grid points of wave crests, a method of searching wave crests was proposed. Then the inherent wave crest surface was replaced with an overturning wave crest surface created by the algorithm of building calculated wave crests ahead of schedule. So the special effect of large scale real-time overturning waves under different conditions can be achieved by simultaneously making use of other realistic rendering technology.
