The serious ash fouling fault was happened in air preheater of boiler No. 4 of Xinjiang Huadian Hongyanchi Power Generation Corporation Limited, which influenced on the stability of pulverized coal combustion and the safety of electro-static precipitator, and the boiler was be compelled to shut down for cleaning the deposited ash man- Ually. The reason of ash fouling in air preheater was analyzed, some detailed preventive measures were put forward, and the problems of ash fouling in air preheater and low temperature corrosion were solved.
