Further Exploration on Banning Christianism and Sakoku System in the Age of Eto Shogunate

日本江户时期,西教东渐,严重危及幕府封建道德伦理秩序。出于"禁教"的需要,德川幕府采取了一系列对内对外措施,最后形成了所谓的"江户锁国"体制。"锁国"的提法易使人产生误解,其实在"江户锁国"体制下依然保留了日本列岛与外界广泛的交流渠道,而并非将日本"锁"之于列岛,使其完全与外部世界隔绝开来。

In the Age of Eto Shogunate, as Christian entered into Japan, the order of Japanese moral and ethic was seriously challenged. Thus Banning Christianism was launched together with many inside and outside measures, which resulted in the emergence of Sakoku System. There is some misunderstanding of the meaning of Sakoku System, that is, Japan was thoroughly secluded from the outside. In fact, in the process of implementing such a system, Japanese Islands still kept contact with the outer world.
