This paper is a commentary on new liberalism ideological trend in China using Marxist standpoint,points out its negative effects in constructing socialist harmonious society, expounds its influence in constructing socialist harmonious society and the counter- measures, explore effective ways of letting the system of socialist core values guide trends of thought and take the initiative in ideological work, respecting divergence and allowing diversity while effectively resisting the influence of erroneous and decadent ideas.
