Exploration on the Stratocratic Power of Governer in Gansu and Xinjiang Province

甘肃新疆巡抚的军政权力是很大的,其掌握军政权力始于第一任巡抚刘锦棠。巡抚的军政权力不断的继承,使其掌握的军政权力愈来愈大。但是由于一定的限制使这一权力并没有造成尾大不掉之势。巡抚所掌握的军政权力是有益于边疆统治的。

The governer of Gansu and Xinjiang used to enjoy immense stratocratic power, which dated back to the time when Liu Jintang was appointed as the first governer. The stratocrafic power gained by governer was continually on the rise during succession. Nevertheless, the power was not too immense to be out of bounds due to certain restriction. It, however, contributed to the boundary administration to a great extent.
