Multimedia Database Management System

多媒体数据库管理系统是针对多媒体数据的有效管理而提出的一个数据库管理系统,跟一些传统的数据库管理系统相比,多媒体数据不同于传统数据,是一种非格式化数据,具有对象复杂、存储分散及时空同步等特点。为方便管理,本系统采用面向对象方法进行设计与开发。通过引入封装、继承、对象和类等概念,可以有效地描述各种对象及其内部结构与联系,提高对非格式化多媒体数据的管理能力。

Multimedia database management system is brought in with the connection of how to effectively manage multimedia data. Compared with a number of traditional database management systems, multimedia data is different from the traditional ones. It is a non-formatted data, with the characteristics of complex object, dispersed storage, space-time synchronization and so on. For con- venient management, this system uses object-oriented method to design and develop. Through introducing the concepts of package, inheritance, objects and category, it can effectively describe the variety of objects, their internal structure and links that can improve the managing capability to the non-formatted multimedia data.
