Semantic Presupposition and Translation Techniques ——On Translation of Semantic Presupposition in Poetry of Mao Tse-tung

语义预设作为是一种复杂的语言现象,广泛存在于诗歌当中。从翻译的角度来看,考虑语义预设的复杂性,有助于准确把握源语的前提信息,透彻理解原文,从而依据具体的情况对源语语义预设进行处理。本文以毛泽东诗词中的语义预设及其翻译为例,对语义预设的翻译技巧进行了探讨。

As a complex linguistic phenomenon, semantic presupposition widely exists in Poetry. From the viewpoint of translation, taking the complexity of presupposition into onsideration will help a translator a better understanding of the source text through the grasping of presuppositional information so that different approaches can be taken in different situations. This paper deals with the translation techniques by exploiting semantic presupposition in poetry of Mao Tse-tung an relative translation.
