Ⅰ. Witness of centennial development
Born in 1908, Master Rui Mu is not only a prominent legal scholar, but also a professor who has pupils everywhere. On the occasion of celebrating the 100^th birthday of Master Rui, I deeply feel that the master himself is a thick and heavy walking book of knowledge, in which the master has, with his personal experiences, recorded historical developments of late years of the Qing Dynasty （1644-1911）, historical developments in the establishment of the Republic of China （1912- 1949）, historical developments of old China before its liberation in 1949, and also historical developments since the founding of the People＇ s Republic of China in 1949.
