The paper introduces the success experiences that Hubei Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources has achieved over the past thirty years' reform and opening up,the specific aspects include:to respond positively to national and provincial instructions relating to geological work;in accordance with national economic construction and social development needs,to change the concepts,ideas and timely re-adjust the thinking of work;to strengthen the study of metallogenic regularity;to give full play to the professional and technical advantages;to give priority to strengthening the work of geological prospecting;steadily to expand the service areas of geological exploration;to implement the strategy of 'going global' with steady steps;and strive to open up foreign markets.Finally,the paper points out that strengthening geological work must adhere to the following methods:taking development as a top priority;the development of the Bureau must rely on geological work;the scientific and technological innovation is the tactics for the Bureau's flourish and grow;harmonious and stability is the purposes of work.
