As a new form of software development platform for network, Java has been widely accepted and spread only one year after it was pushed out, owing to its excellent features, such as inset multithread supporting etc.Inthis paper, the concept of multithread and the multithread mechanism of Java are presented. One example of multithread application to hydraulic calculation is given for the discussion of the efficiency of concurrent calculation in PC andthe prospect of exploiting applied programs under network by Java.
