摘要
利用植物表达抗体是近年来兴起的植物基因工程的一个新领域.它将编码抗体或抗体片段的基因导入植物,从而在植物中产生全长抗体或抗体片段.利用植物表达抗体最诱人的潜在用途是可以大规模廉价生产治疗和诊断用抗体.此外,植物抗体还能够通过调控植物代谢改良植物性状并赋予植物对病虫害的抗性.目前植物抗体的商品化还存在一些问题.
Expressing of antibodies in plants is one of the fields of plant gene engineering, which was developed recently. It refers to introducing into plants and expressing in them the genes encoding antibodies or antibody fragments. The most intriguing potential of expressing of antibodies in plants is inexpensive largescale production of antibodies for therapeutic and clinical use. In addition, altering traits is possible by manipulating plant metabolism using plantibodies. This approach could aslo be applied to conferring pathogen and insect resistance to plants. At present, there are still some questions about plantibodies commercialization.
