Application of Molecular Biology to TCM Research and Its Prospects

本文回顾了近年来分子生物学在中医药研究中应用的主要成就，对其前景作了乐观的展望，认为分子生物学将在证的实质研究、中药作用的“靶子”、疑难病证的诊治、中药抗衰老、新药研制等方面有大的突破。

The major achievements of the application of molecular biology to the research of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the last few years is reviewed and a future is anticipated optimistically.The authors believe that there will be a breakthrough in the following aspects:the study of the nature of syndromes,the 'target/at which the actions of therbal medicines aim,diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases,anti-senility functions of herbal medicine,and the study and preparation of new medicines.
