摘要
报道了一种基于双折射光纤布拉格光栅(Hi-Bi FBG)的全光自动增益控制掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA).通过利用双折射光栅作为选频器件,在放大器中建立起了双波长的控制光.实验结果表明双波长控制光能够有效地钳制该放大器的增益.其在1545和1555nm处的增益被控制在±0.42和±0.52dB范围内,同时对应的饱和输出功率分别达到了6.97和7.16dBm.
A novel all-optical automatic gain-clamped erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) based on high birefringence fiber Bragg grating (Hi-Bi FBG) is presented and demonstrated. By utilizing the Hi-Bi FBG as the wavelength-selective component, dual-wavelength control light is established. Experimental results show that the EDFA gain can be effectively clamped by the dual-wavelength control light. The gain variations at 1 545 and 1 555 nm are clamped within ±0.42 and ±0.52 dB and the corresponding saturated output powers reach 6.97 dBm and 7.16 dBm, respectively.
