A Preliminary Study of Primary and Secondary School Mottos

校训是指在学校办学核心理念指导下,用简明扼要的词句表述的、学校师生应共同遵守的训导性的规范。能够对学校发展产生积极作用的校训具有训导性、概括性、精神性、长期性(战略性)、渗透性、相对稳定性、独特性等特性。

A school motto refers to those concise and refined words based on the school tenets and should be obeyed by all teachers and students in the school. A school motto making positive effects on the school development has characteristics of instruction, summarization, spirituality, long-term （stratagem）, penetration, relative stability, and uniqueness.
