摘要
提高图形处理速度是计算机图形学硬件的发展方向。在国外高档的图形工作站中,都采用各种各样的技巧和方法,比如改进工作站的系统结构,普遍采用图形专用硬件、专用专有芯片等来提高图形处理速度。本文从硬件的角度出发,就如何提高图形处理速度,对工作站体系结构、帧存结构、图形处理器、图形专用硬件等进行了详细的分析和研究。
The trend of computer graphics hardware is to increase the graphic processing speed. Today, in advanced workstations lots of methods such as develo ping new system architecture,using special-purpose hardware and custom chips,etc., have been used to improve the processing speed.This paper discusses how to impro ve the graphic processing speed with hardware techniques, and analyse some hardware techniques used,such as workstation architecture, frame-buffer organization, graphics processor, special-purpose hardware, etc,.
