Survey on Hefei Scientific Island Speech Community

文章讨论如何鉴定言语社区的问题。已有的研究结果表明,界定一个言语社区的关键是考察出该言语社区内部一致性的特征。在此基础上,我们用合肥科学岛调查的结果证明言语社区的一致性。调查结果显示,言语社区的内部一致性体现在宏观和微观两个层次。在宏观层次,合肥科学岛言语社区的一致性体现在语言态度和语言变体选用方面;在微观层次,一致性体现在对语言变项的评价和语言变式的选用方面。

The paper focuses on how to identify a speech community. The view that the consistency is the key feature to identify a speech community is further supported by the evidengce from our survey on Hefei Scientific Island Speech Community. The survey indicates that the consistency of a speech community can be observed both at the macro level, where the consistency lies in peoople＇s lan- guage attitudes and their choice of the language varieties, and at the micro level, where people have roughly the similar evaluation towards a linguistic variable as well as the same choice of the variants.
